Have you ever leisurely strolled through a supermarket without a shopping list and found it surprisingly therapeutic? Supermarkets have evolved beyond being mere venues for purchasing essentials; they now serve as hubs where people find joy in aimless strolls, aspiring to cook with the myriad products and simply relishing the act of passing time.
The newest outlet from the local supermarket brand, FairPrice Finest, kicks the experience up a notch. Here, you can still wander leisurely through aisles, jazzed up with in-store entertainment and interactive elements.

Nestled within a 14,000 sq ft warehouse-inspired space at CQ @ Clarke Quay, this outlet is the 40th addition to the company’s line of Finest outlets across Singapore. Beyond the conventional grocery offerings, FairPrice Finest Clarke Quay also aims to cater to tourists, featuring unique merchandise designed by local artists, alongside eateries and bars offering local delights.
Here’s what to expect at the store:
THE GROCER FOOD HALL
The outlet’s Grocer Food Hall sits in the middle of the space, where customers can choose from six food kiosks, and there are various seating areas for them to enjoy their meals.

The kiosks offer cuisines such as local, Lebanese, Italian, and Japanese. Each vendor features value meal options, competitively priced compared to food and beverage establishments in the vicinity. Value meal choices include items such as Straits Flavour's curry chicken at S$8.80, and Mezzi's chicken and Lebanese rice at S$5.90.
Similar to their other outlets, the store offers a "You Pick, We Cook" service, allowing customers to select produce from the shelf for on-the-spot preparation at one of the kiosks, with an additional fee. For cheese lovers, the supermarket has partnered with the local artisan cheese shop LPB, offering items such as smoked burrata, croque monsieur and cheese platters, with the most affordable option priced at S$15.

For an elevated dining experience, there's a "container" room available for customers to reserve the entire space for private gatherings and events. Additionally, an experiential zone offers interested customers the chance to participate in cooking classes and demonstrations. Find out more about the events here.
THE GROCER BAR
Another example of their local collaboration, the outlet has partnered with the local spirits Brass Lion Distillery and Red Dot Brewery for its offerings at the in-store bar.

The cocktail menu features a heritage selection that puts a unique twist on local flavours, including the Kueh Salat Cocktail and Ondeh Ondeh Cocktail, each priced at S$15 per glass. If you prefer to select your own wine or other spirits from the store, you can purchase and enjoy them at the bar with an additional corkage fee. An interactive board is also available to assist customers in finding the perfect drink pairing for their food.
LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS
In line with the company's commitment to supporting local suppliers, this outlet collaborates extensively with Singapore-based partners. The array of offerings includes a dedicated section for fresh produce from local farmers and a “kacang puteh” station by the local nuts brand Tong Garden.

Upon entering the grocery store, you’ll find a dedicated merchandise section offering Singapore-themed souvenirs and gifts. Kelly Ser Atelier has designed an exclusive collection for the Clarke Quay store, featuring items such as SG River tote bags and tumblers. Other heritage-themed souvenirs include an old-school “kopi” pot, Singapore-related card games, and the iconic Tiger Balm, among others.
AN HOMAGE TO THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
The store pays tribute to Clarke Quay's riverine heritage with its interior design, incorporating nautical-themed elements that highlight the company's milestones against the area's backdrop.

The warehouse-inspired design reflects the area's rich history, with a mural depicting the Singapore River's significance as a trading port for essential goods entering Singapore.
FairPrice Finest Clarke Quay is located at 3 River Valley Road, Block B #01-04/05, Singapore 179019.
