Thai celebrities Bright and Nene confirmed their relationship on Monday (Apr 22), days after a video of them holding hands in Japan surfaced on social media. In a statement on social media platform X, Bright, whose real name is Vachirawit Chivaaree, apologised to fans for his dating news, adding that he and Nene "had no intention of disrespecting anyone or causing harm".
"My focus is always on spreading love and positivity through my work and dedication. I am incredibly grateful for everything that has shaped me into who I am today, and for all the love and support I've received. Thank you to all of you who continue to support and love me. It means a lot.
"Nene is one of the most precious people I've met. She makes me feel warm and safe every day we've been together. I hope you guys will cheer for us."
Taking to her Instagram page, Nene, a singer whose real name is Pornnappan Pornpenpipat, addressed the dating news and also apologised for the "confusion" it had caused.
"Sorry for not being able to share this with you earlier before it made the news. You know me, I usually keep my personal life separate from my music because my focus is always on spreading love and positivity through my music and performances for all of you wonderful people.
"Bright is a warm person. We support each other when things are tough and celebrate together when we're happy. Those who have been following me know that I am always honest about my feelings. Feelings are what drive me and fuel my creativity, inspiring me to write both sad and love songs.
"Love motivates me to be a better person, filling my heart with warmth every day. When we are together, I find myself laughing more, smiling brighter, and feeling unafraid to take risks. Because I know there will always be someone to accept me, support me, and catch me if I fall."
Bright and Nene previously acted together in the drama series 2gether in which Bright played a handsome but introverted college student who is clubmates with the latter's character. The series went on to become one of Thailand’s most popular shows, garnering a fanbase all over Asia, including Japan.
