BigBang reunited for first performance onstage in 7 years
During Taeyang's recent solo concert on Sunday (Sep 1), BigBang members G-Dragon and Daesung joined him onstage to perform songs such as Good Boy and We Like 2 Party.
This continues to be a good year for fans of the second generation of K-pop. Months after girl group 2NE1 announced its reunion concert tour, celebrated boy group BigBang reunited onstage for the first time in seven years.
The long-awaited reunion happened at member Taeyang's recent solo concert, The Light Year, in Seoul, South Korea on Sunday (Sep 1). The 36-year-old was singing the BigBang hit We Like 2 Party, alongside groupmate Daesung.
After singing a few verses of the song, the duo suddenly walked back to the main stage and brought out BigBang leader G-Dragon – drawing screams from fans.
The now-reunited trio then completed the rest of We Like 2 Party. Afterwards, G-Dragon remained onstage to sing the song Good Boy, alongside Taeyang.
The concert marked G-Dragon's first performance onstage after seven years.
Originally a quintet, BigBang became a three-member group, following Seungri's departure in 2019 due to his involvement in the Burning Sun scandal and TOP's confirmation of his withdrawal in 2023.
The group's last release was 2022's Still Life which also marked TOP's last song with BigBang. However, the group did not perform the song onstage or at music shows.
