Veteran action star Jet Li was spotted at a Tibetan Buddhist event called Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara Grand Puja 2024, held at Sands Expo and Convention Centre on Sep 14 and 15.

Organised by Drikung Kagyu (Singapore) OM Centre, the event featured renowned Tibetan Buddhist master, Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche, conducting teachings.

Li, who obtained a Singaporean citizenship in 2009, can be seen praying and taking part in rituals at the event.

According to a user of the social media platform Xiaohongshu, Li also watched a session of the dance drama A Dream Of Red Mansions at the Esplanade Theatre on Sep 14.

A martial arts icon of the 90s, Li has had limited public appearances in recent years. In 2013, he revealed that he was suffering from a myriad of health problems, including hyperthyroidism and spinal problems.

In 2018, photos of him looking frail went viral, sparking concerns regarding his health. However, just a year later, he appeared more youthful-looking. His last feature film was 2020's Mulan where he played the emperor of China.
